  About Happehatchee Center             Happehatchee History
Happehatchee is an environmental and spiritual center that welcomes you to join us as a leader, member, or participant in our community of people, activities, and events. We provide didactic and experiential opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds.

  Yin & Yang
Our programs strive for balance, as between Yang and Yin (masculine and feminine energies) and between scientific and faith perspectives. We provide a healthy setting in which to grow and cultivate our imaginations, creativity, wisdom, relationships, leadership and other skills. We welcome creative tensions and encourage open expression of many views as a catalyst for deep change within ourselves, our community, and the world. Our dream is to help equip our community to become change agents in co-creating a wider world of justice, love, and peace for all creation.

Classes & Activities
We have begun to offer some classes, such as in Tai Chi and meditation. We hope to soon expand these to a wider range of offerings, including training for professionals in the healing arts. We soon will also offer opportunities to learn organic gardening and many other activities that connect us to nature and the specific land of Happehatchee.

Our programming has included International women's Day sweat lodges, full moon circles and women's sacred circle, as well as alternative energy workshops and more.

Community Outreach Projects
We are also blessed with being connected to various community projects and programs that further our mission, such as an outreach to bring healing practices to women’s shelters, after school programs, groups serving farm workers, academic environmental studies programs, and Gather the Women events. We hope more activities of this sort will bloom.

Happehatchee has hosted meetings, outings and/or conferences for local Southwest Florida organizations such as Calusa Group -Sierra Club, Responsible Growth Management Coalition, Interfaith Action, Unity Church Volunteers, and Unitarian Universalists study groups.

Global Projects
Our reach is both local and global, working at the grass roots level with those who are underserved and neglected in SW Florida, such as farm workers, the education and anti-trafficking work in Central America and Southwest Florida, and also through organizations like the United Nations and the International Transpersonal Association.

Ever Evolving
We invite all to share what they would like to see offered at Happehatchee and also to share where resources might be found to address these needs. If there is something you want to learn or experience related to our mission, help us find a way to make it happen.

Join Us & Share
In the midst of the rapid evolving and increasingly gentrified suburban landscape of Estero, Happehatchee is an oasis where you can find and share serenity, healing, empowerment, and meaningful relationships, as well as learn valued skills and engage in meaningful activities. Welcome to our community!
